Use CTSO projects in your classroom
- One of the best ways to capitalize on intracurricular CTSO teaching is to use a competition or project in your classroom. When you have a student that does well, invite them to join your CTSO and compete in that event – they’ve already completed the project! This is a great recruitment tool, as well as a way to get your students ready for competition.

As an advisor, volunteer to be a judge
- If you don’t have students going to compete at regionals or state, volunteer to be a judge. This will help you familiarize yourself with the process as well as what the general expectations are of students. This is helpful for you to see what is on the rubrics and give you better guidance to help your students in future years.
