Unit 9: Ergonomics and Workplace Stress
52 Unit 9: Ergonomics
Ergonomics is the study of interactions between humans and their environment. Often it is used in workplace settings to create a safe and healthful environment, and to reduce soft tissue injury. This can mean reducing the amount of lifting someone has to do, anti-fatiuge mats or providing modular work stations. Employing ergonomics can drastically increase the productivity of workers.
