Upon completion of this module, students will be able to:

MO 1: identify and define the general classification of components and variables that are commonly found in a process control loop.
MO 2: describe the two general classifications of control loops.
MO 3: describe the relationship between the components and variables in an open and closed loop.
MO 4: identify various types of technical diagrams specific to instrumentation and describe how they are related.
MO 5: identify ancillary technical documents that support process control systems and explain their relation to the system.
MO 6: identify, interpret, and explain Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID).
