13 Electronic Devices

Electronic devices, with the exception of a calculator, are not allowed without instructor approval. Headphones, computers (unless being used for note-taking), and cell phones are prohibited. Cell phones should be silenced. Texting during class time is not allowed. If you need to take an important call on your cell phone (job search, medical, etc.), set it on vibrate and leave the classroom to answer. Any non-compliance with this policy will be noted and will impact your grade. The electronic device policy must be complied with, especially during quizzes and exams. Failure to do so will amount to academic dishonesty and will be pursued to the full extent permissible based on the university guidelines.
